Top 5 Honeymoon Destinations: America’s Favourites

Choosing the right place for the honeymoon gateway is not easy, especially with many dreamy destinations across America. A honeymoon should be a very special and romantic place you will remember forever. However, there are a few hot spots that are favorite among the people different age, and here is my top 5 :

  1. ARUBA

This stunning place is an island and constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the mid-south of the Caribbean Sea, about 29 kilometres north of the Venezuelan peninsula of Paraguayan and 80 kilometres northwest of Curacao. Aruba is perfect place for honeymoon with beautiful sandy beaches, local restaurants and many options for excursions. This beautiful place is also known for a pink flamingo paradise on the beach.

2. BARBADOS

One more beautiful place situated in the eastern Caribbean islands. The capital city is Bridgetown and it is also a popular cruise ship port & vacation destination. Barbados as one more Caribbean country is famous for stunning beaches and incredible history. Plenty of excursions are available and you can easily fill out your day with activities, or can just relax at the beach and enjoy local food and drinks.

3. NASSAU BAHAMAS

Nassau, the capital city of The Bahamas, is located on 21-mile-long New Providence, 11th largest island. Nassauโ€™s main harbor is protected by Paradise Island. The harbor attracted settlers in the early days, particularly pirates. In fact, Nassauโ€™s population consisted mainly of pirates until 1718, when The Bahamas first Royal Governor, Woodes Rogers expelled them, restored order and built Fort Nassau. The Bahamas for centuries adopted Rogersโ€™ motto, โ€œExpulsis Piratis, Restituta Commercia,โ€ which means, โ€œPirates Expelled, Commerce Restored.โ€ Now, 212,000 people call New Providence Island home, with a large portion of them residing in Nassau. Nassau is perfect destination for honeymoon as it gives you all : shopping, beautiful beaches, many excursions and fantastic restaurants.

4. CANCUN, MEXICO

It was very hard to choose only one city in Mexico but I have chosen Cancun. This stunning city is recognized throughout the world for its spectacular white sand beaches and its fascinating sea in turquoise blue tones. With unique natural places, Mayan culture, water activities, and adventure. International cuisine, spectacular golf courses, sophisticated spa facilities; exclusive shopping centres, typical handicraft markets as well as shows, bars and nightclubs that give fame to its incomparable nightlife. Whether you decide to go for a weekend gateway or longer- you will not regret it.

Cancun, Mexico

5. KEY WEST- FLORIDA

Located closer to Cuba than to Miami, Key West is Florida’s irreverent southernmost subtropical paradise, a unique confluence of history, climate, natural beauty, cultural diversity, architecture and unabashed romantic appeal. Key west is the place which has it all : whatever your idea is to spent the perfect honeymoon- be assure that you will find it. Palm-lined streets with gingerbread mansions and tin-roofed conch houses were home to Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Elizabeth Bishop, Robert Frost and Jimmy Buffett, a few of the famous people who discovered solace and inspiration in the island city whose Bahamian and Cuban heritage in large part was inspired by Bahamian wreckers, commercial fishermen and spongers. Sound pretty amazing right ?
