Hello, how are you my lovely readers?
I am currently in Egypt/ Hurghada day 9, and I decided to share my experience with you today.
My first impression when we landed in Hurghada was not so “wow” as everything around airport is desert, no mountains no palms, nothing around. As soon as we moved from there I have started to change my opinion. After 30 min drive from the airport we arrived to Seagull hotel & beach resort. Checking in as usual upon arrival and excitement to see the room. Have to say that I was really happy with my room. It has everything I wanted and the most important thing- amazing beach & sea view.
Soon as we unpacked, we proceeded to the beach to rest a little bit and relax after the 4hr flight. Must say that Hurghada is completely based on the huge hotels and resorts, you can see it everywhere around and there is plenty as well currently building.
Now, if you do consider having vacation in Egypt, I will tell you why you should definitely go :
*For the money you pay- you get a lot – In Hurghada all hotels are all inclusive . That means you get your breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks in between, unlimited local drinks and alcohol.
*It is sunny and warm every day. I am just in love with weather. sunny 100% and 0% chances for rain. Does not this sounds amazing to you?
*There is a lot of excursions you can take. The most popular is trip to Cairo, perhaps it takes 6 hours in one way to get there. Otherwise if you don’t want to bother yourself to travel long time, you can do moto safari which I did it and it was amazing experience. They also have yacht excursions for snorkeling and paradise island (which I did as well) and in a case you decide to go for a yacht excursion please check the weather forecast or with the agency as it can be very uncomfortable drive on the yacht with a strong wind.
*Beautiful Red sea- Even it is named “Red” it is a stunning and blue coral. Just breathtaking.
Now, first few days I definitely had a cultural shock. I was afraid to go out the hotel and be on the street as Egyptian people are very let’s say something in between offensive and resist when it comes to stores on the street. They will be nice to you and try to find out your name, but however they will do everything do pull you into their store and won’t let you go until you purchase something. Well that is only in beginning then you become strong and they can’t play with you anymore 😀 But the good thing is you can play the game as well and get the thing for the half price.
Anyway, I really have nice experience from Egypt, definitely something new I haven’t seen before and I will remember in a future.
*Thank you for reading, I am going to pack my bags , tomorrow I have a flight back to Serbia, but stay tuned, next stop is Germany ! Lots of love !
