Work & Travel program for students- USA

When I was 20, just started my University- Faculty of Culture and Media in Belgrade, I found out about this interesting program where you can make a money, live in USA for 4 months and after you finish, you are entitled on 1 month in USA where you can travel. Sounds great, right?

As I was always obsessed with travels, USA, adventures, I decided to turn my dream into reality and take advantage of this amazing opportunity. I signed up for this and started to prepare and getting ready to go .

Costs for this program are around $2000. It is your flight ticket , USA Visa, agency , and money to take to USA for food and other costs until first salary.

There is few conditions for this program :   You must be student on University,  give exams within the deadline, have fluent English and be communicative and team worker.

Your agency is required to find for you a job and give you contract before you even go. Most of this jobs are in restaurants and hotels. It is up to you if you want to find one more job once you are in USA and maximize you money or you can have main one from agency.

About destinations where to work, there is a plenty of choices.  Most popular places to work: Martha’s Vineyard- it is an island located on the East side of  America. Then we have South Carolina, Texas , North Dakota, Alaska. I am sure there is more amazing choices, it is all depends of your agency what they have to offer.

Students are living together in a big house or apartment and it is provided by your agency.

When I look back to this experience I can say it was amazing! Had a great job experience, felt the difference between living in USA and my homeland. Made so many friends, new contacts, visited New York and stayed there 5 days. Made a money and paid University by myself.
